Lockhart Family Reconnects with Toganmain Woolshed Legacy

Tom Lockhart, now 88 and living in Tasmania, once worked as a shearer at the Toganmain Woolshed in the late 1950s.

His brothers, Don and Rod, also took their turns at the shed over the years. In April 2024, Tom returned to Toganmain, accompanied by his son Brian and granddaughter Courtney.

Together, they walked through the restored shed, meeting with Christine and sharing memories, stories, and photos from Tom’s working days. Don Lockhart and other family members joined them, reconnecting with the place that shaped part of their history. Although Sue Lockhart wasn’t sure what more could be added to the record, she shared Tom’s contact details and expressed their hope to return for the 150th celebration.
